At Oweavers Mill, we connect the act of weaving with the act of reliving traditions. We take pride in our role in preserving cultural heritage and passing it down to future generations.
The past is the foundation, and the future is being woven from its threads.
Handwoven fabrics, cherished for their timeless beauty and cultural significance, offer a sustainable path towards preserving our environment and heritage. Unlike mass-produced textiles, handwoven fabrics embrace eco-conscious practices by minimizing energy consumption and reducing carbon emissions.
Artisans weave these fabrics using traditional techniques passed down through generations, ensuring the preservation of cultural heritage and craftsmanship.
By supporting handwoven fabrics, we contribute to the preservation of local communities, fair trade practices, and the empowerment of skilled artisans. With every thread, handwoven fabrics weave a sustainable tapestry of environmental stewardship and cultural vitality, allowing us to embrace fashion that is not only beautiful but also ethically and environmentally responsible.
We bridge tradition and modernity by introducing Philippine textiles to the Middle East, empowering communities, and fostering heritage appreciation in expats.
We lead the Philippine weaving industry in technology and connect artisans to the world stage.
The pandemic and the delay of Expo 2020 offered an unexpected gift: time for introspection. We slowed down, appreciating the importance of sustainability. Additionally, being unable to travel home during this time deepened our love for our country and the desire to connect with our loved ones.
We were fortunate to be accepted into the iForwardPH program, a DOST initiative, which opened doors to incredible opportunities we never imagined possible. It was through iForward that we were enlightened about weaving technologies and its opportunities for innovation.
Our journey began in Tipas, Taguig City, Philippines, with the opening of Oweavers Mill. Equipped with four PTRI-designed handloom machines, three warping frames, and a dedicated team of six, we embarked on our mission. In mid-2022, we took a leap forward, launching Oweavers Mill under Craft and Brew FZC in the UAE. There, we showcased our products at hotels and shopping malls, bringing a touch of Filipino tradition to the global stage.
With our business flourishing, we're excited to announce our expansion plans! We're setting up a weaving studio in the UAE, aiming to introduce local designers to the beauty and potential of Philippine weaves.
